Description

A salmon-flavoured hydration powder made for cats who simply don’t drink enough. Mix it with water or food to make daily hydration something they actually look forward to.

Barely touches the water bowl
Lives mostly on dry food
Gets bored of fountains and new bowls
Needs a little encouragement to drink

Cats naturally have a low thirst drive. Instead of hoping they’ll drink more, make hydration taste irresistible.

How do I use it?

One 3 g scoop a day, and the scoop is in the tub. Stir it through her wet food, or into 250 ml of water until it dissolves. Mix it all the way through rather than leaving it on top, since a cat that spots something new on the surface is more likely to walk away from the whole bowl.

Use half a scoop for the first three or four days while she gets used to the smell, then move up to the full amount. If you use the water bowl, empty and refill it every day.

What if my cat won’t take it?

Then you shouldn’t be paying for it. Email us within 60 days of your first order and we refund you in full. You keep the tub and there is nothing to send back.

Before you give up on it though: a lot of refusals come from going in at full strength on day one. Start at half a scoop, mix it right through, and give it the full ten days.

My cat barely touched her water bowl, no matter where I put it. I started adding the salmon powder to her water and now she actually comes running when I prepare it. Seeing her willingly drink more every day is such a relief.

Milo has always been terrible at drinking water. Fountains, different bowls... nothing really helped. With the salmon powder he actually seems excited about his water. I’m refilling his bowl way more often now. Wish I’d found this sooner!

My cat is incredibly picky, so I honestly expected her to ignore this too. I mixed a little into her water and she immediately started drinking. Now she waits next to me while I make it. Such an easy way to make hydration part of her daily routine.

Cat beside a bowl of water
Water comes from food, not the bowl
The science behind it

Thirst starts
in the desert.

The domestic cat descends from a desert animal that took almost all of its water from what it caught. It never needed a strong thirst signal, so it never developed one . On a modern diet that instinct works against her: the moisture that used to arrive with the meal is simply not there any more .

A fountain moves the bowl. It does not make her want what is in it. Sephirea does.

70% Moisture in her natural diet , the prey a cat evolved to hunt
78% Moisture in wet food , which is why wet-fed cats visit the bowl less
10% Moisture left in dry food , so the bowl has to cover the whole gap

Getting started

Ten days, and you’ll know.

Almost everyone who gives up on a topper gives up in week one, because they went in at full strength on day one and the cat walked away. Here is the version that works.

Routine
Days 1–4
Let her find it

Half a scoop, stirred right through her wet food or into her water. Never leave it sitting on top, and do not stand there watching. A cat that clocks something new on the surface rejects the whole bowl.

Days 5–10
She decides

Move up to the full 3 g scoop. This is the window where you find out: either she goes to the bowl or she does not. If the answer is no, the guarantee covers you and you keep the tub.

After that
It stops being a project

One scoop, once a day, folded into feeding her. One rule stays: if you use the water bowl rather than the food, empty and refill it daily. Flavoured water does not keep.

Let her enjoy it

The salmon flavour makes the bowl more appealing, helping turn ordinary water into something she actually wants to come back to.

Got questions

Everything owners ask us.

If yours is not here, email us.

Will my cat actually take it?

Cats respond to smell before taste, and salmon is about as close to a safe bet as cats allow. We would still rather you assumed it might not work. Start at half a scoop for the first few days instead of going in at full strength, because that is where most refusals come from.

How do I use it?

Stir it right through her wet food, or into 250 ml of water. Never leave it sitting on the surface, since a cat that spots something new on top tends to walk away from the whole bowl. If you use the water bowl, empty and refill it every day.

How much do I give?

One 3 g scoop per cat, once a day, and the scoop is in the tub. No weight bands to work out, because almost every adult cat sits between 3 and 6 kg. Over roughly 7 kg use one and a half. Half a scoop for the first three or four days.

How long does a tub last?

30 days for one cat at a scoop a day. Two cats halve that, which is worth knowing before you pick your subscription frequency. You can switch between 30 and 60 days from your account at any point.

My cat only drinks from the tap. Is this pointless?

Not at all, but use the food route rather than the water route. A cat who has decided the tap is the only acceptable source will not be talked out of it by anything you put in a bowl. Stirring it through food takes the bowl out of the argument entirely.

I have several cats sharing bowls

Measure per cat and use separate bowls where you can, because in a shared bowl you have no way of knowing who drank what. If separate bowls are not realistic, dose for the number of cats and put out more than one water station in different rooms.

My cat is on medication. Is that a problem?

Ask your vet first, and take the tub with you so they can read the label. This is a food topper rather than a veterinary product, and if your cat is being treated for anything, your vet should be the one deciding what goes in the bowl alongside it. Same if she is pregnant, nursing, or a very young kitten.

What if it does not work out?

Email us within 60 days of your first order and we refund you in full. You keep the tub and there is nothing to send back. Subscriptions pause, skip or cancel from your account in one click, with no fees and no minimum.
